Draft. These terms describe the service as it runs today and are under legal review. They will be replaced by the reviewed version before public launch.
1. What SurkleS is
SurkleS is a travel safety, planning and community app, with tools for agencies, hotels and field teams. It is a guide and a directory, not a booking service. Tickets, rooms and transport are bought from the provider, and SurkleS is not a party to those contracts.
2. Emergencies
SOS alerts the agency or hotel you have linked, inside their app. It does not contact emergency services and does not guarantee a response. In an emergency, call 112. Emergency numbers are shown as a convenience and may change.
3. Accuracy
City Pulse, cost hints, journey estimates and the assistant's answers are generated with AI from public sources and may be wrong or out of date. They are information, not advice. Alerts are reviewed by a person before they are shown, but they are not exhaustive.
4. Accounts
One person per account. Keep your password safe. Signing out applies to the device you sign out on. We may close accounts for misuse.
5. Agencies, hotels and teams
A business is responsible for its own records and for the lawful basis of tracking its workers. SurkleS processes data on the business's instructions. The office access code is for the business's staff only and must not be shared with travellers. Travellers join with their own invite code.
6. Field workers
Tracking runs only during a shift and only with the worker's consent given in the app. Withdrawing consent ends any open shift. The employer may keep work records (hours, kilometres, jobs).
7. Community
Be truthful and kind. Do not post personal data about others. We may remove content. Some starter answers are written with AI help and are marked as such. No reviews or ratings of businesses are published today; if that changes, these terms will be updated first.
8. Circles
You are responsible for whom you invite. A share ends at the time you choose, or when you stop it. A help request shares until you say you're OK.
9. Acceptable use
No scraping, no reselling, no interference with other users' safety features.
10. Intellectual property
The SurkleS name, logo and content are ours. Your content stays yours, with a licence for us to display it in the app.
11. Liability and warranty
The service is provided as it is, to the extent Indian law allows. We are not liable for decisions made on the basis of AI-generated information, or for the acts of agencies, hotels, guides or transport providers.
12. Pilot
The service is in a pilot and may change or pause. It is free for travellers during the pilot.
13. Plans, billing and cancellation
The free parts of SurkleS stay free: Ask my circle, the emergency numbers, City Pulse and sharing with two people. Travellers can choose a paid Circles plan; businesses start with a free pilot for up to 3 users. Three rules cover every plan: cancelling is as easy as subscribing, nobody is charged without a reminder, and prices never change silently. Payments are taken by Razorpay; see also Refunds and cancellation.
Traveller plans. Circles+ (7 days free, then ₹99 for the first month, then ₹249 a month), Circles Groups (7 days free, then ₹299 for the first month, then ₹699 a month) and the Visitor pass (₹499 once, for 30 days, no renewal). Traveller prices include GST. The free days and the first-month prices are for UPI, RuPay and Indian cards, once per person. AutoPay is set up when the trial starts and nothing is charged during it; cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Monthly plans renew through UPI AutoPay or card until you cancel. A trip run by an agency or hotel on SurkleS is covered by them.
Traveller refunds. Your very first payment on SurkleS is refunded in full if you ask within 24 hours, once per person. A double charge, a charge after cancelling, or a plan that never switched on is always refunded in full. Otherwise a cancelled month is not refunded for the days left; the plan keeps working until its end date.
Business plans and prices. Business plans (SurkleS for Teams, Agencies and Hotels) are billed monthly in Indian rupees, in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe. Prices exclude GST, which is added at the applicable rate. You can add or remove users at any time; changes apply from the next bill.
Renewal and reminders. A plan renews each month until you cancel. We email a business account owner 7 days before each renewal, and a traveller 3 days before, with the amount and the date. Where you pay by card or UPI auto-debit, you also receive the pre-debit notice your bank requires before each charge. You can turn off auto-renewal at any time.
Cancelling. Cancel at any time with one button, in the app or at surkles.in/manage: no call, form or email needed. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for. There are no cancellation fees.
Refunds. Payments are for the month ahead and are not refunded for part-months, except where the law requires it, or where SurkleS was unavailable for more than 72 hours in a month, in which case we refund that month on request.
Price changes. We tell the account owner at least 30 days before a price change. It applies from the first renewal after that notice, and you can cancel before then at the old price.
Free pilots and trials. A pilot or trial never turns into a paid plan on its own. You choose a plan and confirm it before the first charge.
Your data after cancelling. For 30 days after your plan ends you can still sign in and export your records. After that we delete the business's data, except invoices and records we must keep by law. Your workers' own data rights are unaffected.
Late payment. If a payment fails we tell you and retry for 7 days. The account then becomes read-only (you can still export) until payment is made; nothing is deleted during that time.
14. Who we are, termination, law, changes, contact
SurkleS is run by Surkles, C-1/3 Navijivan Society, GIDC, Ankleshwar, Gujarat 393002, India. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms. These terms are governed by the laws of India. Changes are announced in the app and on this page. Write to contact@surkles.in.
